扫尽市朝陈迹。

拣得乱山环处，

钓一潭澄碧。

卖鱼沽酒醉还醒，

心事付横笛。

家在万重云外，

有沙鸥相识。

Glad to go home by the end of the year,

And rid of traces of vanity fair,
I’d choose a place embraced by mountains proud

To fish in a green pool.

I’d sell fish and buy wine, drunk there and sober here;

I’d confide to my lute my care.

My home should stand a thousand miles beyond the cloud,

Known only to the gull.
