问:据报道,美国商务部长今天在上海对中方官员表示,一个自由开放的互联网对21世纪有非常重要的意义。中方对此有何回应?
Q: The US Commerce
Secretary told Chinese officials today in Shanghai that a free and open
Internet is essential in the 21st century. What is China’s response to this?
答:中国的互联网自由、开放、有序。中国有近7亿网民,也有像百度、腾讯、阿里巴巴这样的大型互联网企业,互联网为中国经济和社会发展提供了蓬勃动力。同时,中国作为主权国家,对互联网依法进行管理完全是正当的,目的是维护公民和企业的公平合法权益,确保互联网既属于每个人,也属于所有人。
A: China’s Internet is
free, open and orderly. China is home to nearly 700 million netizens, as well
as Internet giants such as Baidu, Tencent and Alibaba. The Internet has
injected great vitality to China’s economic and social development. Meanwhile
it is justifiable for China, as a sovereign state, to manage the Internet in
accordance with the law, in a bid to safeguard the just and legitimate rights
and interests of citizens and companies and make sure that the Internet belongs
to each and all of us.
问:对于达赖喇嘛本人决定是否转世的说法,中方有何评论?
Q: With regard to a
saying that it is only up to the Dalai Lama to decide his reincarnation
matters, does China have anything to say on this?
答:中国政府颁布有《宗教事务条例》和《藏传佛教活佛转世管理办法》,目前活佛转世事务一直按照宗教仪轨和国家法律法规正常进行。
A: There are the Regulations on Religious Affairs and the Rules on the Management of Reincarnation of
Tibetan Living Buddhas enacted by the Chinese government. Currently matters
concerning the reincarnation of the living Buddhas are handled smoothly
following religious rituals and domestic laws and regulations.
达赖喇嘛活佛转世系统已经有几百年的历史,有一套完整的宗教仪轨和历史定制。达赖喇嘛的转世,也应当遵循宗教仪轨、历史定制和国家的法律、法规进行。
The living Buddha reincarnation
system of the Dalai Lama has been honored for hundreds of years with a complete
set of religious rituals and historical conventions. The reincarnation of the
Dalai Lama should also abide by religious rituals, historical conventions and
domestic laws and regulations.
会后,有记者问及:据报道,近日,南非多个城市发生针对外国人的暴力袭击事件,有中国侨民的商铺遭到哄抢。请问中方做了哪些工作?
After the press conference, the
following question was raised: According to media reports, violent attacks
against foreigners took place in a number of cities in South Africa, and some
Chinese-owned shops were looted. Please brief us on what the Chinese side has
done.
洪磊表示,近期,南非多地发生骚乱,当地外籍人士经营的店铺遭打砸哄抢,有部分中国侨民商铺在此次事件中受损。中国驻南非使领馆已慰问涉事中国公民,并向当地警方提出交涉,要求其迅速采取有力措施保证当地中国公民人身和财产安全。驻南非使领馆还通过多种渠道多次发布风险提示,提醒在南中国公民和企业加强安全防范。外交部和驻南非使领馆将密切关注事态发展,积极维护在南非中国公民安全与合法权益。
Spokesperson Hong Lei said that
many places in South Africa were hit by riots recently. Shops owned by foreign
nationals were smashed and looted, and some Chinese-owned shops suffered
damages. The Chinese diplomatic and consular missions in South Africa have
visited those Chinese citizens affected and lodged representations with the
local police, asking them to take prompt and effective measures to guarantee
the personnel and property security of Chinese citizens there. The Chinese
diplomatic and consular missions in South Africa have also repeatedly issued
warnings through various channels, advising Chinese citizens and companies in
South Africa to step up security precautions. The Chinese Foreign Ministry and
the diplomatic and consular missions in South Africa will closely monitor the
developments there and take active steps to safeguard the security and
legitimate rights and interests of Chinese citizens in South Africa. |
