National
Day of Mourning for the Victims of MH17
7 August 2014
Today is a National Day of
Mourning.
We will pause.
We will give thanks for their
lives and we will pray for their loved ones.
Flags will be lowered across the
country.
Our national leaders will attend
the Memorial Service in Melbourne with many of the families.
And elsewhere in the world, over
500 Australians continue their work as part of Operation Bring Them Home.
Today is a day of mourning, and
we will remember the 298 innocent people who died on Flight MH17.
We grieve for all of them, but
particularly for the 38 who called Australia home.
Today we will remember them and
we will honour them. |
