We have just eight years left, and we are not where we need to be. New infections and deaths are not decreasing fast enough. Millions of people, including children, remain undiagnosed or untreated. And severe inequalities and inequities prevent people from getting the care they need. Key Populations – men who have sex with men, transgender people, sex workers, people who inject drugs or are in prison – continue to face many barriers to care. With their partners, these populations make up 70 percent of all new infections globally. While transmission has declined in Africa, there has been no significant decline among men who have sex with men in the past ten years.文章源自英文巴士-https://www.en84.com/13932.html

The outbreak of mpox shows that infections can move quickly in sexual networks. But with community-led response and open attitudes to address stigma, transmission can be prevented and lives can be saved.文章源自英文巴士-https://www.en84.com/13932.html

I call on all countries to implement WHO’s global health sector strategies on HIV, hepatitis and sexually transmitted infections, and to implement our guidelines on key populations as well as the actions outlined by the new Global Alliance to End AIDS in Children. With global solidarity and bold leadership, we can make sure everyone receives the care they need.文章源自英文巴士-https://www.en84.com/13932.html
