I tarry here, taking in the beauty of Cuiwei Hills.
On the sight of our land I feast my eyes greedily
While the trotting horse urges me to go back by moonlight.

Year in year out my army uniform is soiled
with dust; now idle, I come to the Green
Pavilion on horseback in search of
flowery scent. Before my eyes are
feasted with fair hills and fair
rills, the clip-clop brings
me homeward in
bright moon-
light.
