Grass grows and orioles fly about in early spring,文章源自英文巴士-https://www.en84.com/15960.html
In whose mist weeping willows on river dikes swing.
Child home early after school comes to a close,
They hurry to fly kites while the vernal wind blows.

Living in a Village
Gao Ding
Orioles fly over tall grasses in second-month weather;
Willows sweep the riverbank, intoxicated with mist.
Children return home in haste after school,
Eager to fly kites when there is yet wind.

A Rural Picture
Gao Ding
Grass shooting out and birds flying about herald the advent of February,
Willow twigs drooping over the riverbank, I’m intoxicated in the bewitching spring scenery.
Children are dismissed from school early, so going home not a worry,
Rejoicing at the east wind rising, they disperse to fly kites, all in a hurry.
(杜洪峰 译)
Happenings during My Stay in Village
Gao Ding
The warblers are fluttering, on February day, above the sprouting grass.
The swaying willow branches stroke the dyke as if drunk in spring haze.
Let out early from school class,
Flying kites in the east wind, run the kids.
(李伟刚、刘志宇 译)
A Village Scene
Gao Ding
Midspring sees grasses grow and orioles fly;
Willows dance in mist fondling the bank slight.
The children, returning home early from school,
Hurriedly in the east wind fly the paper kite.

Village Scenes
Gao Ding
Grass greens and warblers wing in tender spring.
Kissing banks, like drunk in mist, willows swing.
From school once dismissed, children arrow home
To fly their kites in breeze high to the dome!
(王昌玲 译)
Village Home
Gao Ding
In the second month the green buds are slowly bursting forth,
Here and there flit the orioles,
And the emerald tresses of the willows sway in the spring winds,
As if caressing the river banks,
And enrapturing the people.
The village boys skip home from school,
Flying their kites in the eastern breeze.
(Paul White 译)
