Today, we mark Remembrance Day, a time to honour Canada’s women and men in uniform, and to pay solemn tribute to those who have answered the call to serve.文章源自英文巴士-https://www.en84.com/4053.html

Generation after generation, Canadians have served and sacrificed as members of the armed forces. They’ve shown immense courage as a matter of course, and heroism as a habit. They’ve endured what is horrific in war, and they’ve borne the scars of it. Many have made the ultimate sacrifice. We owe a great debt to our veterans, to the fallen, and to the families who love them.文章源自英文巴士-https://www.en84.com/4053.html

So this month, we wear poppies, to hold them close to our hearts. We honour them in silence, in sombre acknowledgement of the depth of their sacrifice.
And not just today, but throughout the year, we remember – because to remember is to recognize how very precious peace is, and to honour the immensity of our veterans’ service.
On behalf of the Government of Canada, thank you to the Canadians who served and who serve today.
Lest we forget.
