As with any of these days, be it Women’s Suffrage or International Women’s Day, there are things to celebrate and there are things that we need to focus on continuing to improve if we are to reach equality for women.文章源自英文巴士-https://www.en84.com/6774.html

But, starting on the positive side, you know, since we’ve been in government, I’m really proud that we’ve done things like – extend paid parental leave, we’re progressing our new pay equity legislation, we now have 50% of our chief executives in the public service [that/who] are women. And of course, we’ve passed important domestic violence legislation, and increased funding for those working in this area. But we know there is more to do.文章源自英文巴士-https://www.en84.com/6774.html

And while we all continue on that journey to do things like – ensure that women can feel safe in their communities, in their homes, in their relationships; that they are paid fairly; that any girl, wherever they are, can aspire to be anything of their choosing without thinking about their gender.
