Under the previous negotiation, Brussels maintained ultimate control and could have forced Britain to accept EU laws and taxes forever. This new deal takes back control. We will leave the EU’s Customs Union as one United Kingdom and we’ll be able to strike free trade deals all around the world. The backstop has been abolished; the people of Northern Ireland will be in charge of the laws that they live by. Tomorrow, MPs have the opportunity to vote for this deal so the UK can take back control, leave the EU and move this country forward.
